What is Computing?

How far away is the closest computer?

  • If you can’t touch it, then you haven’t got a phone or an MP3 player on you.
  • If you can’t see it then you’re probably not in a house, classroom, office or shop.
  • If you can’t throw a stone and hit it, you’re probably nowhere near a building, road, boat or plane.
  • If you can’t touch it within 5 minutes, you’re probably in a national park or on a remote coastline.

They’re absolutely everywhere.

They underlie almost everything we do.
